- I needed a beholder as my homebrew world was originally going to be used for a 5e game, but we switched to PF2 last minute! It's a long stat block, but needed to get the effects of all 10 eye rays! Based on the 5e Beholder, and made using this website.
Death tyrants were an undead form of beholder, similar to zombies, that retained some innate magical abilities.2 They were often used by powerful wizards as guardians. They were almost never encountered near other beholders, who found them abhorrent.4 1 Description 2 Behavior 3 Combat 4 Ecology 5 Varieties 6 Appendix 6.1 Appearances 6.2 Further Reading 6.3 References 6.4 Connections A death. The beholder shoots three of the following magical eye rays at random (reroll duplicates), choosing one to three targets it can see within 120 ft. The targeted creature must succeed on a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw or be charmed by the beholder for 1 hour, or until the beholder harms the creature. A spectator is a lesser beholder that is summoned from another plane of existence by a magical ritual, the components of which include four beholder eyestalks that are consumed by the ritual’s magic. Appropriately, a spectator has four eyestalks, two on each side of the wide eye at the center of its four-foot diameter body. Magical Guardians.
